In the shadow of Elk Mountain, Krystall searches for meaningful
images in the surrounding woods. "My paintings reflect
my love and respect for nature which developed in my childhood
years spent in the mountains and plains of Montana and the
beaches and forests of Washington State. My representational
paintings are really about emotional growth and overcoming
the pain of the past. They express my acceptance of duality
of life: the positive growing out of the negative." Krystall¹s
intensely colored watercolor paintings, unusual for the medium,
blend playfully with Dave¹s whimsical mixed-media sculptures.
