Lourdes Schaffroth moved from New York to Pennsylvania about twenty
years ago. Her inspiration to paint always came from her surroundings.
At first city scenes and portraits, to the now beautiful weathered
barns, forgotten farmhouses and natural scenery of forest greens
and rolling hills. She lets the painting dictate her medium and
easily moves between oils, acrylics and gouache.
addition, she quilts her own designs and writes short stories
and novels. Her book “You Need a License to Fish”, was her first
and can be found on Amazon.
She is often commissioned to render her bold interpretation of
private country homes, bringing out their unique serene beauty
to be enjoyed on canvas, all year long. If you have a vintage
barn or home, consider having Lourdes paint a “house portrait”
for your continued pleasure.
